About
Blundell's work focuses primarily on the development and exploitation of state-of-the art instrumentation to enable the SMA to pursue cutting-edge scientific observations of the cool universe. He has made contributions to the development of low noise heterodyne receiver systems incorporating superconducting tunnel junction and hot electron bolometer mixers, and to the development ground-based spectral-line astronomy at frequencies beyond 1 THz.
